To those of you who already know me, this missive should come as no surprise, and to those who don’t know me, hang on!

When I started Campbell and Associates, I was far too young to do anything but fake being mature and thoroughly knowledgeable about every aspect of my life.  Today, I am still faking it.  If I ever figure out what I want to do when I grow up, I’ll let you know.  But until then, I will continue to enjoy the thrill of walking into a plant for the first time and seeing a familiar piece of equipment being utilized in a way I have never seen before.  (Who says American enterprise is dead.)

On our previous web site I wrote a column called The Curmudgeon’s Corner.  Then, one day a person told me that a curmudgeon was a bad tempered or surly person (i.e. Andy Rooney).  After a lengthy self-analysis I determined that, in fact, I am not a curmudgeon. I take myself far too lightly and what I do far too seriously.  I’m not quite sure what that makes me, but I have had many suggestions. Unfortunately, none of these are printable.

If you have any suggestions or just want to talk in general call me at (706) 632-8076 or email me at dc@campbell-assoc.com. Just don’t text message me.  I’m a numbers and not a word guy and besides, I don’t use my cell phone, when I am out on parole.

I am not really good at telling people how good I am at what I do.  I much prefer actions to words.  Should you want someone else to laud our expertise, I am more than glad to provide references.  Just let me know.  You already have my number. (See above)

As a final note in closing, while our economy always seems to fluctuate, valuation still remains a simple process.  All one needs to remember is that “Values are a lot more like they are today, than they will be in the future.”
